Central Services – Grow Morristown

For over 50 years, Central Services has been a reliable provider of safety net services to residents of Hamblen County. As a community-funded nonprofit organization, we have consistently met the evolving needs of our community through various programs throughout our long history in Morristown, TN. Our comprehensive array of services include counseling, a food pantry, and assistance with rent and utilities.

Notably, we are proud of Grow Morristown, our county-wide backyard garden program, which aims to foster sustainable, self-sufficient and healthy communities. This program provides participants with an entire year of gardening support, resources and education.

The main goal of Grow Morristown is to empower families by providing them with the essential tools, knowledge, and skills to cultivate, cook, and preserve their own home grown, nutritious foods. Once common, these invaluable skills have been gradually fading away. Our program is dedicated to helping families reclaim these skills while enhancing their daily nutritional intake, promoting physical activity, and encouraging more time spent outdoors with family and community.
