Casa de la Cultura Kentucky
Casa de la Cultura Kentucky was founded by a Mexican-American mother determined to keep her family connected to their heritage. The organization preserves and shares cultural traditions with diverse audiences, strengthening intergenerational bonds and fostering identity, pride, and understanding. Many participants sustain gardening traditions tied to nourishment, healing, and memories of home. Our project, “Entre Plantas y Cultura,” builds on this knowledge by uniting experienced gardeners and beginners to teach, share, and grow together. Through this exchange, participants deepen relationships with culturally significant plants and help preserve traditional practices in gardening, cooking, and herbal healing.
