Build It Up East Tennessee
Build It Up East Tennessee has been working since 2012 to improve the health of the community and economy and preserve East Tennessee’s cultural heritage through the promotion of local, sustainably grown food.
Projects thus far have included area community gardens, educational workshops on gardening and food preservation, a youth program that teaches children the basics of gardening, planting, and caring for plants, and a very successful farmers market, the Boone Street Market.
