Breathitt County Extension

Since 1914, Cooperative Extension in Kentucky has become the most comprehensive outreach and education program at the University of Kentucky. The Breathitt County Extension office has been a partner site with Grow Appalachia since 2013 and partners with the Robinson Center for Appalachian Resources Sustainability (RCARS) to grow a demonstration garden and present food preservation classes. Their Grow Appalachia program is also supporting a Youth Entrepreneurship program with the county’s farmers market.
