Travis again, we had an amazing time with our first training for our gardening season this year. Attendance was great, had a great time meeting the new Grow Appalachia members of this program & seeing some of those who participated in previous years. We gave out “Blue Goose – Kennebec” seed potatoes & “Mountain Pride” fertilizer. Jeff Casada from the Clay County Cooperative Extension Office did an amazing job talking about different ways in how to plan your garden for a better & more successful season.

This will be my last blog for Grow Appalachia. I wish all the gardeners luck on their gardens this year & the years to come. This has been a very fun & informative job. It has taught me a lot of things. I have made many friends along the way through the program. I have taught some & I have learned from some. This has been one of the most respected & helpful jobs I have ever had. Red Bird has made a good impact on mine & my family’s lives. I can’t thank all the Red Bird employees & Grow Appalachia employees enough for the help & support along the way. You all are truly awesome!

This is Travis Adkins, signing off.
