Getting it in the ground

hey this is Justin at the Red Bird Mission Grow Appalachia site. The last part of March we held our second required training “Garden Planting”. We had great attendance to the meeting and learned a lot from our local extension agent.

After the meeting we handed out our spring cole crops, taters and onions. Hoping everyone got them planted before it starting raining again.

This month we have been busy making home visits to till gardens to make sure they are ready to plant.

Most everyone’s peas are doing great that we handed out in February.

Everyone even myself is ready to get our summer plants in the ground.
