This will likely be the last update on the Union County Middle School garden, and I’m excited to share the results of all our hard work! With hundreds of donated seeds and amazing volunteers, we’ve been able to provide UCMS students with fresh produce!

Eventually the nights got below 32 degrees, and we had to cover the plants

It’s amazing to start with dirt and seeds, and watch it grow into this! As always, the Union County Community Garden Coalition was so pleased to help make it possible for students to not only experience gardening, but be able to eat fresh, locally grown food.

“The glory of gardening:

hands in the dirt, head in the sun,

heart with nature.”
