Congratulations to Shane and Kathy Lucas of Lucas Farms for receiving the 2016 Small/Limited Resources Producer Award this week at the Kentucky Small Farmers Conference.
Shane has been working for several years to expand his farm with lots of love and support from Kathy and his family. It’s happening and so happy he was recognized for his efforts. Thanks to Connie Sturgill with the NRCS for recognizing and making the nomination and especially glad she was there to represent with him.
Grow Appalachia is happy to have Shane continue to work with the Grow Appalachia program and hoping to expand that work.
