Hi this is Justin at the Red Bird Mission Grow Appalachia. We have been trying to be as productive as possible here at our site, but mother nature ain’t letting us do much. The weather kind of teased us with a couple of pretty days, but has set back into snowing. Even though the snow is beautiful it has put a damper on taking soil samples for our first year members and other things we are trying to get done outside.

We might have jumped the gun a little bit on getting our tater order in early, now we are having to try to keep them from freezing in this cold weather. Which i think we got them under control in a climate controlled building.

We all here are excited and waiting for spring to hit so we can get a start on our gardens. It’ll be here before we know it and will be overwhelmed with all kinds of things to do. I guess we’ll take it as a sign to slow down and just got with the flow there’s still plenty to do before it planting time. We are looking foward to our first required training this month and the all hands gathering coming up too.
