Tis’ the Season

Packed with tradition and symbolism the wreath is one of the most popular decorations during the Christmas holiday season. Hung on the door or a window, the wreath has been viewed as an invitation to the spirit of Christmas to enter the home and bring luck, suggesting as well that the Christmas spirit dwells within. Whether the wreath is large or small, lushly green or spare, there is nearly always a splendid bow to wrap up all the many meanings and messages of Christmas.

Everyone interested received gloves, hat and scarf; many were homemade with special holiday greetings.

For the occasion our food pantry became a toy store.

From all of us at SVM, have a blessed Christmas and,“remember the reason for the season!”                Sister Ann Marie Quinn
