This growing season for Grow Appalachia wasn’t without challenges. Due to hard work and careful planning, the year ended well. January and February(2015) was spent with interviewing folks interested in joining a program that was planning to grow total organic food. The mandatory meetings and, as well as, classes were held monthly. Many new growers were happy with the program, as were others that had already worked with Grow Appalachia.
Celebration for the year end was held on October 12th. Many awesome dishes were presented at the dinner. I sure have learned many ways that squash can be used in a dish. we ended the evening with a question and answer session. Plans were being made for the 2016 growing season. Thanks to everyone for your gardening tips this year.
