Spring and Fall are definitely my favorite seasons to live in Linwood. On Tuesday evenings, a group of people get together and play a rousing game of kickball. We’ve also added a pre-game/post-game activity called Polish horseshoes. The point is to be outside exercising and socializing in Linwood.

Wednesday will soon be filled with golfing at the Raven followed by eating wings, singing and dancing with Open Mic Night at the Fiddlehead. For those who aren’t back to work Thursday evening, the Brazenhead offers a wonderful Wing Night as well. I go for the delightful atmosphere and Will’s Paddy Cakes!

The Friday Farmer’s Market at the Linwood Library and Visitor’s Center is often quite the event. Of course, we have local farmers and others selling vegetables, fruits, breads, cakes, eggs, etc… Sometimes we have live entertainment, vendors and a event that resembles a small street fair.

Grow Appalachia has added a new bi-daily activity to get us out in the sun, working hard and spending time with the lovely members of our community. These plots in our community garden will also be a place we will work and share our lives.
