My mom used to tell me two ways to lift you out of a depressed state is to work in the garden by putting your hands straight into the dirt and secondly, like say its raining or so, so wet soil (see recent post from High Rocks), then you should organize something – like your seed box or your knick knack drawer. I use this lesson constantly and just the other day I was in the garden digging around enjoying myself when I thought geez I was really bummed out this morning and now— I feel so much better!
Thank goodness for spring, even with the rain, I’ll take it over frozen ground any day.
