Thought this was a neat picture of a hidden watermelon and goodness, what a patch. There must have been twenty watermelons lying there ripening in the sun and making my mouth water. Visiting these gardens has given me a new awareness of just how beautiful Lee County is. I have seen incredible vistas from the hilltops, fertile bottoms along the river and mountain gardens carved out of the wilderness. It is wonderful to witness the variety of crops being grown in this county, everything from okra to dill, and realize what an impact agriculture is already making on the economy of Kentucky and the nation and hope that promoting farming in Kentucky will be as important to our legislators..
