Things are progressing in our gardens in Wise County, despite a slow start.  Hunter and LeAnn have been working with a group down at Powell Valley Primary to get things rolling.  Recent high school graduate Kyle Hill has volunteered to build some raised beds for that garden.

Over at the Health Wagon in Wise, Tim Mullins and the crew have worked with Extension to plant 25 tomatoes, 20 peppers and a few hills of squash.  A group will meet next week to fill in all the empty spaces with corn, beans and cucumbers and sow buckwheat in an unused section of the garden.

The rain has come at favorable intervals for the past couple of weeks, and the hope is that this will continue.
