I have been reading the emails about high tunnels and rodents with great interest. There is always something to keep a gardener on their toes. My only encounter with critters were the deer eating my pears and turnip tops. If someone bagged one of those deer, I am sure it was tasty. Thanksgiving was a great time to enjoy the fruits of our summer labor and Christmas will also give us a great time to show off our dried apples cakes, sweet potato casseroles, green beans and corn.

The weather report is calling for some bad weather and as long as we have electricity we can enjoy all that wonderful food we preserved last summer. I have some more pictures to share of those wonderful summer and autumn gardens but my computer is not cooperating today so I will try again next week to share them with you.

Stay warm!
