We recently had a fall gardening workshop and everyone seems to be getting pretty exicited, a lot of our gardeners havent been big into the fall gardening until now so its going to be exciting getting to see how everyone likes it. We all just recieved our Pressure Canners and had a workshop for everyone so we could go over how to use them and do demonstrations. It was really surprising to see how many of the participants had never actually used a pressure canner before and it seems as though everyone is having great success with them since the class!!! We are looking forward to our upcoming class on seed preservation so ill be sharing a little bit of information on the techniques used once we have the workshop!!! This post brought back some fond memories. I remember how much I enjoyed canning days at my Grandma’s house during the summer. Her pressure canner was a prized possession. She would bring it out of the pantry and start her work station set up process early in the morning. You can say it was a bit of a ritual. She and that pressure canner had their disagreements (smile), but the end results were always so delicious. –Cp w/BDVP
