This has been a very busy week for Intern Chip and I. We have made a lot of home visits checking participants gardens to see how things were growing. We may have gotten off to a slow start with all the rain however things have most certainly took a turn around because the gardens we visited looked amazing.
I have to admit I had my doubts in the beginning. With all the rain and the late start I thought this year may turn out to be an agriculture disaster but things are growing beautifully and the harvest information is looking pretty good.
I want to thank all my participants for a job well done. It’s you that makes Grow Appalachia the success that it has become. Your hard work and patience has paid off and you are well on your way to a great growing season. I am excited as we gear up for our Farmer’s Market Grand Opening coming soon.
I am thankful to be a part of a great program like Grow Appalachia. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Keep up the good work everybody.
