Aaron and I have been busy up at the green house helping gardeners pick out plants and handing out tools. The gardeners have been waiting for the ground to dry out enough to begin planting. They are asking , “is it to early to plant tomatoes”? we are recommending that they wait until after May 10th to plant their tomatoes because our Bell County Extension agent shared with us , May 10th is the last predicted frost of the spring and he reminded us that even though May 10th is the last predicted frost , we could still see a frosty morning or two after this date. During our recent class on, “How to maintain your garden!” He discussed the importance of taking care of your plants, keeping weeds out of the garden, and watching the weather in order to protect the plants.
