Highland Educational Project

The Highland Educational Project (HEP) is an outreach mission of the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia, serving families in the county for over 70 years. Services include home rehabilitation, a Reading Camp for children, a food pantry, and is one of only two remaining Red Cross Shelters in the county. With their Grow Appalachia program, HEP gives some of their harvest for their food pantry, as well as providing community garden plots for local families.
