Here at Grace Covenant Ministries, we’re taking a leap of faith by launching Grace Grows! This isn’t just about putting seeds into the ground and waiting to see what happens.  We want to steward the land that God has given us well, equip the community around us with practical skills that nourish their bodies and souls, and most importantly, cultivate hearts!

Grace Grows is a ministry of Grace Covenant Ministries in Annville, Kentucky, based around gardening, food preservation, and equipping families to grow and save their own produce. We want to help families feel self-sufficient, take ownership of their gardens, even share their harvest with their community.

             Why Grace Grows?
At its core, gardening is biblical! All throughout scripture, from the Garden of Eden to the parables of sowing and reaping, we see images of planting, tending, harvesting. Gardening helps us slow down, and appreciate creation. It helps us remember to trust God’s provision, have patience, and take pride in what we do!
In a day and age where the world feels uncertain, gardening can give us a sense of control , confidence, and purpose. It’s always satisfying to serve a home cooked meal that includes produce you harvested earlier that day!

Grace Grows was born out of a desire to accomplish a couple things.
First, we want to encourage good stewardship of the land God has given us, by growing food and tending a garden! When we take pride in our land, it inspires others to do the same! Communities can be changed and made stronger by a single family making small changes and learning something new.
We also want to equip these families to preserve and store their food wisely, to make the most impact for them and their neighbors.

We are hopeful that our participants gain confidence, skills, and a sense of accomplishments throughout this spring and summer. Whether they’re tending their garden, attending a class here on our campus, or sharing about the program with their neighbors, we hope they ultimately remember they’re not just doing this to grow some veggies- but to take pride in what God has given them!

Our first educational class was hosted on Thursday, March 5th, and was a big success! We can’t wait to continue growing together.
