As winter finally loosens its grip, our garden spaces are slowly coming back to life. Each corner of the neighborhood is filled with subtle (and not-so-subtle) signs that spring is near.

The soil is warming and soft underfoot, making it easier for gardeners to dig, plant, and prepare beds for the season ahead. Buds are beginning to swell on the fruit trees, and early risers like daffodils are offering bright splashes of color and hope. Compost bins are active again, tools are clinking, and there’s a steady hum of friendly conversation and anticipation from neighbors. You can hear the chirping of birds scouting out nesting spots and see bees hovering around the first flowering herbs like chives and thyme. It’s a time of planning, planting, and reconnecting with the earth and with each other.
