I look out over campus and see the beauty of fall igniting the hills. I ponder and think…

Food is universal. It’s the one factor in life that pulls folks together regardless of their differences. As we look at our national landscape and how it seeps into our community, we still center on the fact that food can bring folks together. We will continue using food to gather our families and gardeners, teach folks how to stock their pantries and freezers, and truly work to battle food insecurity here in the mountains. With this important work, we will also edify love and acceptance, and an understanding that, regardless of how different we are, we still have things in common. Food is truly universal.
