It’s still a little chilly outside in Cincinnati, but at Community Matters, we are excited to know that spring is just around the corner.

For us, spring symbolizes renewed energy. It offers a lot more sunshine and more chances to come together with our neighbors in Lower Price Hill. Among those unique opportunities provided by spring is the kick-off of the growing season in the LPH Community Gardens. This year, we are excited to do so as a brand-new partner site of Grow Appalachia!

We’ve been planting many seeds lately (both literally and in the proverbial sense). With the support of the Grow Appalachia network, we are excited to welcome soon our new teen garden apprentices, host monthly educational events, partner with even more families to build home gardens, and harvest some gorgeous produce!
