Wow!  What can we say but time has sure flown this gardening season.  What started out as uncertain times has turned into a great garden season for our Grow Appalachia Gardeners.  Not only did they have the pandemic at hand but also weather was a little wet and cold.  However, these gardeners whether first time gardeners or long time gardeners, have sure reaped the benefits of all their hard work.  Many have been canning their bounty as well as a few have been selling locally to others or at the Farmers’ Market.  We have had a very great turnout for our small Farmers’ Market despite having regulations pertaining to COVID-19.   Among many of the items canned include corn, potatoes, kraut, green beans, banana peppers, tomatoes and lots of salsa has been made.  We are very proud of how these gardeners have withstood this pandemic all while providing delicious, healthy food for their family, friends and public.  We would like to take this time to show the world some of their bounty.

Don’t these photos make you wish you had a big plate of this yummy goodness.  This would be some good eatin’ around here so to speak.

As we enter the 2nd week of August, many of our gardeners are already talking about their Fall gardens.  Stay tuned for more Fall gardening photos and information.
