Yesterday, March 7th, Grow Appalachia Alderson kicked into gear for the wonderful months ahead of us. The gracious Alderson Community Center hosted the 2017 GA Introduction Potluck and Garden Planning workshop. Not only did all participants attend but a few extra community members as well. There was a great sense of passion and excitement in the air for our program this year, as well as fruitful discussion amongst everyone. The site was lucky to have our local Greenbrier County extension agent Josh Peplowski volunteer his time to go over soil tests, garden planning techniques, and answer everyones vital questions in regards to the health and well-being of their gardens. The sense of community and companionship was stronger than I had anticipated and it made not only myself, but all involved in yesterdays workshop ready to create change for so many lives in the months ahead. Our amazing community is changing in many positive ways and GA Alderson is ready to do our part in continuing this positive change.
