Managing Weeds

Weeds. The little pests just like to attempt to ruin our gardens and sometimes they’re really hard to get rid of. Do you ever just wish you could find the best ways to kill the buggers? Well, I think I may be able to help with that, along with information from other sites such as Reader’s Digest.

A bad case of weeds, like pictured below, can make a beautiful garden look run down and tired. There are many pesticides/herbicides that can help with the removal of weeds such as Roundup, Ortho Weed-B-Gon, and HDX. All of these are great ways to remove weeds, but they aren’t always the safest. When handling such chemicals, make sure you use proper techniques to protect yourself.

There are also more natural and safer ways to handle weeds. These ways are also more cost efficient. The first would be to get down and dirty, and pull them out of your garden. Another that is commonly used would be pouring boiling water on them. You can also use paper mulch, plastic mulch, and wheat straw to help eliminate weeds.
