In our continuing efforts to help as many people grow as much of their own food as possible, I am constantly looking for ways to be more efficient and cost effective. In the world of gardening, seeds are an absolute must and there is no way around the need for this input. If you have figured that one out then please let me know. A great way to boost your seed bank and ensure that you can help even more people is by seeking seed donations. There are numerous seed companies that will provide assorted seed packages for organizations in our line of work. So far this year we have received around 600 packs of various vegetable seed. A simple online search for “seed donations” will yield many potential sources.

I would like to thank High Mowing Organic Seeds, Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, Seed Savers Exchange and Sow True Seed for their generous donations.
