All of our gardens are off to a good start!

We’ve gotten some delicious peas and strawberries out of Lotts Creek Learning Garden. We are experimenting with amaranth and quinoa this year.

Hickory Hill Recovery Center has 15 raised beds installed and planted. A crew of approximately 25 participants will be maintaining these beds as part of their road to recovery and to supplement the food needs of the residential operation. Everyone is very excited about this project, which came together through a partnership with the Hickory Hill Recovery Center, Knott County Extension office, Holiday Farms, and Lotts Creek Community School, as well as a generous donation of topsoil from Hicks Bros.
