Thursday afternoon my nephew came to visit for the weekend with his wife and 3 kids.  Before dinner we went over to the garden to close up the greenhouses and high tunnel for the night.  We were all enjoying the garden tour when one of our members came along with her little girl.  The kids instantly bonded.  We continued on the tour everyone enjoying smelling herbs, eating spinach and asparagus we found growing and tasting rhubarb for the 1st time.  It just doesn’t get any better than being able to show off the garden,  eat your fresh picked salad there too and have the kids make new friends.

Just like everyone else there’s been little we can do outside because of the rains.  We did manage to plant many of our baby onions monday night in raised beds, transplant a lot of things in the greenhouse and make a ton of plant labels.  Then more of the same wednesday including planting some tomatoes and cukes in the high tunnel.

Someday the fields will be able to be plowed and we will plant.
