Friends!  Last week, Spring came into full bloom and with it our first Grow Appalachia sponsored workshop!  On Saturday afternoon our 10 participant families gathered at the Willow Tree Cafe in Downtown Johnson City to discuss our plan for 2015.  Our families are eager to get their yards tilled and start on the path to selling their produce at the Boone Street Market!

As you can see above, our transplants are eager to spread their roots into the earth!  We hope to have them all in there by the second week of April.  Our first hands-on class will be in early next month, and we’ll discuss planting seeds, transplanting, spacing, and mulching.

We are very excited to work with Grow Appalachia, and hope to strengthen our affiliation with our local partner sites this year.
