October has been a busy month for Over-the-Rhine People’s Garden! We have started construction on our raised beds, high tunnels and attending community events!
We started the raised garden bed construction with Clark Montessori students this month. The kids were enthusiastic and all the beds are built and stacked in the Green Learning Station at the Civic Garden Center. We have plans to move the finished beds over to the garden soon!
On September 12th we attended Flavors of Community Gardens : A Celebration of Community and Youth Gardening in Cincinnati. Over-the-Rhine People’s Gardeners shared tasty-bits of their harvest prepared with their favorite recipes. We enjoyed a fall evening on the Patio of the Civic Garden Center and chatted with gardeners about their community-based garden projects.
