Sister KC here in Floyd County KY where the Big Sandy Community and Technical College community garden team have been very busy. Today is food pantry day at the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry at St James Episcopal church and so it is harvest day at the college. So far this month, the Fishes and Loaves food pantry has fed 138 families and they are open two more days this month.
Last year the BSCTC team donated over 2000 pounds of fresh produce to Loaves and Fishes and it looks like they will pass that mark easily this year. The team is made up of professors, administrators, club members and students of the college and from the looks of it, they are really enjoying themselves. As you can see, they enjoy what they do.
