After a beautiful weekend in Abingdon, VA, mother nature has saw fit to bring the rain down on us the better half of this week.  But that’s alright!  My brassicas need the water!  It’s just going to make coordinating tiller visits more challenging.  I am happy to say that we have just about hit our limit of gardeners this year!  The people of Washington County came out en masse on Thursday, and we were able to distribute many broccoli and lettuce plants to our participants!  This evening we will be distributing kenebec and pontiac potato seeds!

Got the chance to have dinner with David Cooke and see his lecture at Eastern Tennessee State University the other night.  He gave a powerful speech on the history and importance of Grow Appalachia – will post pics when I get them!
