We’ve got the families lined up, we’ve got the spots picked out, we’ve got the tractor, seeds, fertilizer, and the drive to get things “Growing on the Mountain.” We have started some seeds indoors and would like to move them outside, but alas Mother Nature is being way too bipolar, and our little greenhouses are too small for heaters . The tomatoes are really taking off, soon the peppers and cabbage will sprout and will need moved.
When the weather is nice, the ground is too wet to plow; unless, we start growing rice or possibly start a cranberry bog. When the ground isn’t wet there is several inches of snow on it, with just enough ice to make it interesting!
This is the craziest weather we have had in McDowell County in several years. I am so looking forward to it working itself out.
