Look for a pallet that has HT stamped somewhere on the pallet. This means the pallet was heat-treated as opposed to chemically treated.
We stapled landscaping material on the back and sides of the wood pallet because we wanted the soil to stay in the pallet when we hang it up on the pole.
After seeing several examples of how someone could use wood pallets to plant a garden, we decided to try it ourselves.

We planted, Peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Squash, and Onions.
