This week youngsters got their hands dirty in the High Rocks community garden.  A the “Use Your Noodle” day camp, elementary school kids learned that gardening can be fun and healthy.  Planting peppers and tomatoes, they learned about the origins of salsa.  They also took a trip to Karline’s farm to see chickens and ducks in tractors and tour her organic market gardens.   Teenage girls gave out our extra starts from the hoop house at their annual Arts & Beautification Festival in Richwood, WV.   At the beginning of this week, we planted the last garden on our list for a mom with a tiny 5 week-old baby.  Talk about a healthy start!
