What if we cultivated a resilient Appalachian food system where collaboration, adaptability, and care for the land ensured that every community thrived?

For sixteen years, Grow Appalachia has grown from a single seed of an idea into a thriving network of gardens, farmers, and food leaders across Central Appalachia. Rooted in care and collaboration, we’ve learned that real change begins in relationship—with the land, with one another, and with the stories we share. Our new 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, Thriving Ecosystems, calls us to deepen those roots and grow toward a more just and resilient food future—one where Appalachian communities thrive through collaboration, adaptability, and care for the ecosystems that sustain us all.
