Hospitality House

Hospitality House of Boone is a multi-faceted crisis agency serving seven counties in western North Carolina, assisting its residents with job training, shelter, mentorship programs, healthy cooking classes, afterschool tutoring for children, counseling, and more. The gardens were established in 2011 as a way to increase access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs for the community kitchen, food pantry, and Hunger Relief Program. The gardens consist of more than 25 raised beds, a 1-acre plot, and a chicken coop.
