State-by-State COVID-19 Guidance for Farmers

A list of state resources compiled by the National Young Farmers Coalition to help farmers navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. It includes information on essential businesses, resources for employers, State Ag Department resources, and more.

Farmer Relief Fund

The fund will award eligible farmers with cash grants of up to $1,000 each to help them weather the current storm of market disruptions caused by the COVID-19 crisis. Initially, eligible applicants include small and mid-size direct-market producers. AFT envisions an initial application round extending until April 23, with grants beginning to be made by May 1.

This fund is a mutual aid fund, meaning anyone can request relief and we will work to ensure that 100% of donations received will be distributed as quickly, thoroughly, and indiscriminately as possible. Donation form here.

Farm Aid Mental Health Resources

Farmer Mental Health Hotline: 1-800-FARM-AID (1-800-327-6243)
Farmer Services staff answer the hotline Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. eastern time. Farm Aid’s online directory contains more than 750 organizations that work directly with farmers nationwide on a variety of issues. For best results, choose just one “Type of Help Needed” for each search.
