By Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program

We are so excited! After an application process and public vote, our farm program was selected to appear in a kNOwMORE video. The kNOwMORE video series creates awareness for nonprofit agencies throughout Kentucky. Each episode challenges viewers to imagine a community without the services nonprofit organizations provide.

On a beautiful morning a few weeks ago, the production crew visited our farm to capture some video footage. The photo above this post is from the video taken that day. Jessica, Christina, Diane, and D (one of the contributors of our Field Notes blog series) gave moving interviews about why our farm program matters to survivors of domestic violence. The next week, Darlene, our Executive Director, participated in a lively studio interview. The kNOwMORE production team has been hard at work this month editing the video footage. The resulting Episode #107 will explore our farm and three other nonprofit organizations working to feed people and build skills related to nutrition: Moveable Feast, Faith Feeds Kentucky, and Seedleaf Farms. Talk about being in good company.

But wait. There’s more! The video will air several times on KET and KETKY. Grab your calendars. Here’s the broadcast schedule:

  • KET Sunday, July 7 at 4:30 am EDT
  • KETKY Tuesday, July 16 at 8:00 pm EDT
  • KETKY Wednesday, July 17 at 11:30 am EDT
