Wise County Unit – Virginia Cooperative Extension
Wise County Extension in southwest Virginia is part of the land-grant extension program in the commonwealth of Virginia, through Virginia Tech and Virginia State University. Wise County Grow Appalachia is a new site to the program starting in 2017, after being a previous partner site in 2015. We work with 50 families each year to help them grow their own food.
