Hello All 🙂 Hope all is well with the family and gardens. I know everyone is busy as the bee’s. We are knee deep in planting and loving every minute of it. Lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and tomatillo’s have taken off and looking great! Just as soon as we get past this blackberry winter we will totally be in high gear around here. I’m thinking by the middle of next week we will be able to plant the green beans, tomatoes, peppers, and any other non-cool tolerant plants.

Tonight is supposed to be the worst, with temperatures dipping down in the low 40’s or high 30’s. Keeping our fingers crossed that it does not frost.

Everything is off to such a good start, I just can’t help but be super excited. As you scroll through our pictures with this post I’m sure that you will see why and be excited too. It all looks so good, just makes you ready for the harvests.

Along with our crop doing good. The chickens are hard at work too. Right now we have 15 chickens, and getting 12 to 15 eggs every day. Wahoo! If you would like some fresh eggs, we have them. Stop in and you can take home a dozen for $3.00. On the farm we also have some rabbits, sheep, a goat, and of course the honey bee’s. By the end of the summer we are going to figure out what we can do with sheep milk. We will have local honey about mid July. Right now we are saving the rabbit and goat dropping for extra fertilizer for next year.

Most of the kids like this little guy, but he is not our friend in the garden. I have seen him everywhere. If you see him, get ready to start spraying or expect a lot of wholes in your beautiful leaves. He sure lets you know that he has been in the garden.

Along with everything else our meetings are in full swing too. So far we have had a great time. Interesting ideas, and new faces. Just makes for enjoyable conversations and learning things is especially a good thing.
