It is springtime on the creek, Cowan Creek that is. We had our Garden Planning workshop on April 1st led by Timothy Breeding and Mike Eldridge of Rocket Farm, who are former Grow Appalachia participants. Each member received a stirrup hoe to take home with them.

Later that week I had some young ladies that are of part of our Pick n Bow program come early before class to help me get our raised beds planted. They were a great help and I look forward to watching what they planted grow.

         

Today, we hosted out annual plant and seed market. We had a good turnout with lots of really nice plants. We purchased tomatoes, cabbage and peppers for our growers to receive at our Garden Planting workshop coming up this week.
