Gardens are being planted and tilled here in Breathitt County. As you can see in the pictures many onions are being harvested thanks to the efforts of Grow Appalachia. Participants now have all of their vegetables that will be provided in the ground. As you can see in the pictures, it took an effort from all age groups to get them planted. Everyone is looking forward to the benefits.
Jonathan is out helping till between the rows and demonstrating how to tie tomatoes. Our new system for trellising beans will be delivered to participants in the near future and hopefully it will make picking the heirloom beans easier. We are eager to get folks in the community using it.
