As the gardens wear down and we prepare them for winter we reflect on all the great things that they have brought us and our families for the last approaching season change.

Over the growing season here at Linwood we have grown into more than gardeners. The Linwood community have shown their support in many many ways. . .

Kyle checking out some sunflowers….. Kyle has really shown an interest in the gardening lifestyle Grow Appalachia has introduced him to, from pounding posts to religiously checking his plot!

We have discovered a new support system amongst ourselves. We have gained knowledge of sustainable living & the capability of supporting our families on ‘fun’ hard work!

As the winter nears & our growing season dwindles we are sad to see our hard work brown & wither. But we look at the break as an oppurtunity to gather our thoughts & have an even stronger, better plan for next year.

Our small community grew more food than thought possible & not to mention the impact it had on people! Numerous parts of our community who didn’t have a direct hand in the garden have praised & really complimented the vibe which the gardeners seemed to have when talking about their harvests.. Nearby businesses loved seeing the traffic in & out of the garden day by day.

We want to take this time to thank Grow Appalachia & all its moving parts for making this amazing MOVEMENT happen!
