We are really beginning to reap the rewards of our garden here at Westcare. With almost 90 guys in our facility right now it takes a lot of food to keep this place going. So it really helps when you can supplement the meals with some fresh produce outta the garden. We are using the cucumbers and tomatoes in our salads to spruce them up a little bit. Also we were able to harvest enough corn for everyone to enjoy a couple ears of corn on the cob this week. The biggest hit though, was the fried green tomatoes. A lot of them had never tried them before and everybody was really impressed with how they turned out. There is plenty more to come and we look forward to eating out of the garden all summer.
