Unfortunately, it seems this unusually cold winter is going to be slow to leave us.  Here it is, in March, and we still have an inch of snow on the ground.  Aside from a few, short breaks of warmer weather, we have been kept indoors working on gearing up for the growing season.  We had our first gardener meeting last Thursday, in which we talked about garden plans and soil sampling.  Representatives from 25 households were in attendance, while another 5 contacted us directly to let us known they planned to participate but had last minute scheduling conflicts.  It seems this long, cold winter has many of us excited to talk about our gardens, at least!
