Scott County Farmers’ Market

Scott County celebrated the Grand opening of its new Farmers Market Saturday June 15.  After many months of construction slowed due to the weather, the much anticipated opening day was finally here. The first vendors started setting up about 7:30 AM and it wasn’t long before the market was in full swing.  Vendors were selling a variety of items including; plants, produce, baked goods, home crafted items, eggs, jams and jelly.  There was even horse tack and rabbits for sale.  The Farmers’ Market is open to all those in the county that want to come sell their handmade items and homegrown produce. There was live music from a group of young musicians.  The mayor and other county government officials were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Farmers Market 2
