The end of last week was filled with Grow Appalachia activities. Attending the Grow Appalachia “All-Hands” Gathering in Berea on Thursday and Friday was a great experience. I enjoyed meeting with everyone, hearing about their programs, networking, and sharing stories. I am continually amazed by all of the wonderful work done by Grow Appalachia sites throughout the region and am honored to be a part of this wonderful project.

Sunday, February 28th, we had our first participant informational meeting on the Creek. We had a very good turnout (although I forgot to take pictures till the very end!). We had a lively discussion about poke sallet and had several new families attend the meeting. The weather was wonderful and everyone was happy to get to know each other and talk about the upcoming year.

During the meeting we went over information about the program available here: https://kathrynengle.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/2016-info-meeting-packet.pdf

I have also been working on updating the website for the program available here:

Good luck to all of the rest of the partner sites as the year gears up. I look forward to sharing more as the season progresses.
